Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD is a product that is becoming more and more popular for pain relief, anxiety, sleep deprivation and more as more studies come out.
“So CBD helps the inflammation in your body, you have an endocannabinoid system that sometimes is out of whack because you’re deficient in cannabinoids, so this is a supplement you take in order to get that level back into homeostasis,” says Chelsea Newton, Store Manager of Your CBD Store
CBD is not to be confused with THC which a chemical found in marijuana, which when injected into the body can cause a high.
“There is absolutely no THC in any of our products as you can see it is actually labeled on on all of them, it says 0 THC, so this is derived from the hemp plant, marijuana is high in THC , very low in CBD, this is the exact opposite. You’re going to get the medicinal part of it and not the psychoactive,”says Newton
CBD is taking over the pain relief market due to the studies showing its less harmful effects on the body compared to regular pain killers.
“They can have harsh tones on your liver, can be very detrimental to your health overall if you take too much, this is completely natural and already naturally occurring in your body, so you’re just putting a supplement to make sure you’re at the right levels,” says Newton
